Ford Will Build 400 F-150 Dallas Cowboys Edition Trucks Because Texas

There’s nothing more popular than pickups and football in Texas, and this vehicle combines both

Pickup trucks are a big thing in the United States, but they're especially popular in southern states. And since Texas is the largest truck market in the U.S., automakers are paying close attention to customers' needs there.

Apparently, football fans in Texas have been asking for a limited edition model dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys team, because that's what Ford is releasing. The automaker will build 400 Dallas Cowboys edition F-150 trucks, as a throwback to the 1994 F-150 Cowboys edition as well as to honor the fact that it has been Official Vehicle of the Dallas Cowboys for more than two decades.

As Texas' best-selling truck, the Ford F-150 was the natural choice for the Dallas Cowboys edition. Based on an XLT model with Chrome Package (the No. 1 volume seller in Texas), each F-150 Dallas Cowboys Edition model wears the team's helmet silver color.

Additionally to the standard features of the F-150 XLT, the Cowboys edition truck brings exclusive Cowboys edition star badging on front doors and tailgate, blue-white-blue rocker panel striping, and 20-inch chrome wheels with Cowboys star center caps.

Other unique features include a molded heavy-duty cargo bed mat with Cowboys star logo, laser-etched chrome foot plates featuring legendary Cowboys lettering, Cowboys edition logo stitched in front and rear floor mats, and "1 of 400" Cowboys edition interior badge with an autograph by team owner Jerry Jones.

The Ford F-150 Dallas Cowboys edition is on sale at select Texas Ford dealers with a starting price of $41,925.
