It’s a visually imbued version of the regular SL
Unlike the SLC, the Mercedes-Benz SL might have a chance to get a new generation that should hit the market around 2021. Until then, Mercedes is keeping us busy with the SL Grand Edition.
Available for both the SL 400 (V6, 367 hp) and SL 500 (V8, 455 hp), this special edition is said to reach showrooms next month.
When it finally does that, it will offer a choice of four metallic body paint tones, 19-inch ten-spoke AMG wheels up front and 20 inchers at the rear.
On the inside, Mercedes opted for designo tundra brown pearl leather, a multifunction steering wheel with Nappa leather inserts and the AIRSCARF neck-heating setup.
Mercedes-Benz also tells us the suspension has been lowered by 10 mm and is now stiffer.
As for price, the Mercedes-Benz SL 400 Grand Edition starts at €114,181 in Germany, while the SL 500 Grand Edition can be had for at least €135,993.
