As we’re sure you haven’t forgot last year’s LA showstopper going by the name of Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, we can now offer more info on America’s latest supercar.
By info we mean a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 2.85 seconds. At least that’s what Corvette Blogger is claiming, after Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles reportedly confirmed the figures earlier this month during the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring race, where Chevrolet had a performance tent installed.
Moreover, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 is said to need just 6 seconds for the 0-100 mph sprint while it can clear the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds at a 134 mph.
At the time of writing, Chevrolet neither confirmed nor denied the figures, but we’ll keep you posted as an official announcement might follow soon.
Last month, the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 unintentionally broke the VIR production car lap record, outpacing the Ford GT by 1.5 seconds with a total lap time of 2:37.25.
The Corvette ZR1 relies on a LT5 6.2-liter supercharged V8 churning out 755 hp and 715 lb-ft of twist, and can reach 212 mph.
