Cadillac is using the Chicago Auto Show as a catwalk for its 2019 XT5 Sport Package, a slightly-tweaked version that brings moderate eye candy.

Ask Cadillac about it and the answer will look a lot like this:

“The new XT5 Sport Package harmonizes styling cues from Cadillac’s new Sport models. It gives our best-selling XT5 a dark, aggressive appearance and expands customer choices.”

Essentially, what the pack brings consists of a gloss black grille, LED headlamps, signature lights and cornering lamps, 20-inch aluminum wheels and two interior color schemes – Cirrus/Jet Black and Jet Black.

Other bells and whistles include Adaptive Remote Start, eight-speaker Bose sound system, leather-wrapped (and heated) front seats, heated steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Power-wise, the XT5 Sport Package draws its strength from a 3.6-liter V6 making 310 hp. The unit has cylinder deactivation and stop/start and is twinned to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Cadillac sells the 2019 XT5 Sport Pack for $2,995 over the Luxury trim (which starts at $49,490) and $1,995 over the Premium Luxury trim.
